Throughout the year, at the Banff Centre, there are special festivals that bring the mountain lifestyle to light, bringing the stories of the mountains from the far corners of the earth.
One of Banff's most popular yearly events, the Summer Arts Festival takes place throughout the summer.
The Television Festival is held each year mid-June at the Banff Springs Hotel and The Banff Centre.
Every year during the weekend after thanksgiving (the middle of October), serious professional bird-watchers and amateur bird celebrate the annual migration of the Golden Eagle along the "super flyway" of the Canadian Rockies.
In the last weekend of October, celebrate food and wine at this festival, hosted by the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
Aiming to bring readers and writers together, Wordfest was started by Mount Royal College, the Banff Centre, the Calgary Public Library, and the Writers' Guild of Alberta.
