This is one of Canada's oldest and grandest natural history museums. Located in an elegant building constructed in 1903, the Banff Park Museum has collections of rocky mountain natural history specimen dating back as early as 1860.
You can learn first-hand about Banff’s mammals, birds, insects and other curiosities in the Discovery Room. The reading room is a perfect place to sit down and read a good book or browse through magazines.
Guided tours are available throughout the year; at 3pm in the summer and at 2:30 pm in the spring and fall. The museum is situated in scenic Central Park, beside the Bow River.
This is truly a family attraction, as all ages enjoy the exhibits, and it costs under $10 admission for the entire family. This museum is located north of the bridge, at 91 Banff Ave.
